 Nassau / Paradise Island
Nassau, the capitol of the Bahamas, is located on the island of New
Providence that connects to Paradise Island via bridge. While the city is a
busy international sea port and cruise ship destination with world class
shopping, the other side of New Providence is similar to being on one of the
out islands with its quiet nature. Paradise Island is quickly becoming a
world known beachfront playground with water sports, casinos, fine
restaurants, and abundant night-life. Walking and taxis are used on
Paradise Island while a car may be desired on the southwest side of New
Providence. A 'water taxi' will take you from the bridge to downtown
Nassau.
Access is primarily through Nassau International Airport (NAS) with some
charters flying into Paradise Island.
